About Us
Garage Kombucha started as a team effort between us, a husband and wife: a Professional Chemist and a Registered Dietitian (RD).
Armed with many years of knowledge and experience in the science and nutrition industries, we were in a unique position to create a beautifully balanced, nutritious and delicious kombucha.
For years we have been making this great-tasting healthy brew at home, delighting our family and friends. With lots of experimentation, kitchen messes, trial and error, frustrations and jubilations, and with urging from our family and friends, we decided to take it to the next level and bring our product to market. It’s the mix of Vera's passion for nutrition and healthy eating, and Daniel's for science and research, that bring the perfect blend to our recipes and our team.
We are thrilled and thankful to have our wonderful kids joining our team without whose creativity, marketing advise, and a new generation outlook, this would not be possible.
We have a small budget and a big dream: to make the most delicious, highest quality, and the most affordable kombucha you could buy.

Our Experience
Vera has been a Registered Dietitian (RD) for over 25 years in the province of Alberta both in hospital and private practice settings. Her focus has been in the areas of mental health and on preventative health care. She has helped many of her patients and clients manage their symptoms of digestive disease and issues through diet and lifestyle choices.
Daniel has been obsessed with chemistry since he was little. He has worked in universities, in research, commercial and municipal labs. For the past 10 years he has specialized in water chemistry and its mysteries and was in charge of a municipal water lab. He passionately applies his knowledge of water and science background to create the alchemy of Garage Kombucha.
